Dear Limousin breeder,
My name is Brendan Curtin, I work for the Irish Limousin Cattle Society.
The Irish Limousin Cattle Society will be holding our Premier Bull and Heifer sale (catalogue is attached and available via the previous link) in Roscrea mart (located just off the Dublin to Limerick motorway about 90 minutes drive from Dublin airport) on Monday October 27th at 12.30pm. The show will take place earlier on Monday morning at 8.30am sharp. Please see catalogue attached. There are 75 bulls and 17 heifers entered.
Online (as well as ringside) bidding will be available via Martbids with whom you will need to register with in advance (recommend one week) of the sale date. If you are interested in bidding online please also contact Roscrea Mart +353 505 21687.
The sale is the premier or top Limousin sale this autumn. Many of the top bulls that were at shows throughout this year will be for sale including some of the champion from our national Show in Tullamore held last August.
All animals are genotyped and from herds participating in the Society’s Health Herd scheme. All bulls are fertility tested. On arrival at the mart all animals are pre-inspected. There are multiple traits relating to each animal listed in the catalogue.
Irish breeders have been using a combination of French and UK generics over the years.
